Identification of the relationship between librarians' job satisfaction and public library endusers' satisfaction: the case of Zanjan public libraries

Abstract :
Purpose: The present study has been conducted with the aim of identifying the status of ICT in academic library, according to visions of Islamic Republic of Iran in 1404 (case study: Universities of North Khorasan, Khorasan Razavi and South Khorasan provinces ). Methodology: The research method is applied according to the objectives, using library and survey method. The study population includes all managers and librarians in academic libraries of North Khorasan, Khorasan Razavi and South Khorasan provinces. The data collection tool was questionnaire based on the components of the information technology (IT) organization's Strategic Plan, which includes two questionnaires (managers and librarians). The results were analyzed by SPSS version 19 and one sample T test and independent T test. Findings: The results showed the low levels of adaptation between ICT in studied libraries and the IT strategic document. Moreover, the findings indicated that there is no difference between managers’ and librarians’ perspectives in the studied libraries in relation to conformity of components of the strategic document of IT organization. Conclusion: The results showed that the use of ICT in studied libraries with ICT strategic document is in the low level of compliance, especially in management components, standards, regional and international cooperation, security of information exchange, research, trade and development of e-services. The findings showed that to achieve the goals of visions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and compliance with the components of the IT organization's strategic plan, libraries should do their efforts in the period of less than ten years to become closer to the mentioned goals and concentrate more on discussion of information and communication technologies in their libraries.
