Abstract :
This study examines the role of rural non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the food security of rural households in Chegni Township to determine whether membership in non-governmental organizations such as Gharz al-Hasna Fund (with people and Dear people) can improve the food security of rural households. The present study is survey-correlational in terms of method. To collect data among rural households, an international standard questionnaire on household food insecurity access (Coates et al., 2007) was used during the past month. Random sampling by the proportional assignment method was used to select the samples. To analyze the data, parametric tests t and F, as well as Pearson, Spearman, and Chi-square correlation tests and multiple regression analysis were used. The results of the study showed that 86% of the households surveyed suffer from various types of food insecurity, and 79% of these households suffer from severe food insecurity. The findings also show that there is a positive and significant relationship between the variables of receiving facilities from the fund, the amount of investment in the fund, and how to use credit facilities with the food security of rural households. Since receiving facilities from Gharz al-Hasna Fund (with people and Dear people) has a significant relationship with food security, increasing the amount of capital in these funds through the support of the private sector as well as NGOs to increase the ability of the funds to pay facilities to More people are suggested.
