Abstract :

The purpose of this research is to analyze and evaluate the pathology of scattered surface and horizontal expansion of Ahvaz metropolis on the quality of services and the livability of urban areas. The present research is in the category of applied research with an analytical-descriptive method. The method of collecting information in this research is the library. E- It is documents and navigation. To analyze the data, Cocoso's multi-criteria decision making technique has been used. The results obtained from the Kokoso method, regions 1 and 8 of Ahvaz city with the abbreviation B and with the final weight of 2.94 in the Kokoso test, have been assigned the most favorable situation and conditions. Regions 2 and 6 of Ahvaz city with the abbreviation D and with a final weight of 1.49 have obtained the most unfavorable status and the least impact among other areas compared to the study components. As a result, considering the unfavorable consequences of scattered growth and in order to achieve a sustainable development and a sustainable urban form, the compact growth model is suggested as the future development model of the city.
