Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the location and environmental sustainability of sports complexes in the northeast of Tehran in relation to air pollution zoning. For this purpose, the data of pollution measuring stations around the region were entered by kriging method for a period of 5 years (2016-2017). The layers were superimposed using ArcGIS software, 9.2. The results showed that the variability of the concentration of this pollutant in different stations is different. The results indicate that a large part of sports complexes are exposed to air pollutants and due to the vulnerability of athletes in severe air pollution conditions, Management and flexibility approach such as: proper timing, use of air purifiers in sports venues to improve the quality of this type of urban uses and informing citizens and users about the exposure of the complexes is another basic requirement of sports management in this species Areas.
