Abstract :
. Timely and reliable service requires the establishment of these stations is in place that can help without facing any obstacles to urban services and safety act. The purpose of this study is to analyze the current situation of safety and rescue services in the city of Rasht, and offer optimal locations of fire stations in the city of Rasht in order to meet the needs and safety of service deficiencies. The research was descriptive - analytical data required from official documents, surveys and local data.The population of the geographic area of the city of Rasht and according to the official census in 1390, has a population of over 639, 951 people and the number and distribution of fire stations are faced with problems.The results showed that first, the safety of existing fire stations, is not able to cover all areas of Rasht. Then, the factors of population, distance from the fire station, away from the main streets, bare land, far from the centers of fire and emergency locating base stations have been effective in the analysis of the status quo. Finally, based on weighted criteria using GIS, identified three priority areas for the constructionoffirestations.
