The Role of Organizational Culture in Promoting Professional Ethics in Organizations (A Case Study of Research Organizations in Qom)

Abstract :
Introduction and the aim of the research: The present research aimed at identifying the role of organizational culture in the efficacy of professional ethics in organizations.Research methodology: Regarding the aim, the present research is an applied one and based on its nature and methodology, it is a descriptive-survey. The statistical sample consisted of 200 people who were selected from among researchers and staff members of eight religious research centers in Qom. The reliability of the research tool (the questionnaire) was calculated through using content validity method, and its reliability was calculated through using Cronbach's Alpha which was 90%.Findings: 60% of the sample evaluated organizational ethics as above average and 56% evaluated professional ethics as high and very high. There was positive and meaningful correlation between organizational culture and the quality of professional ethics. There was not a meaningful correlation between social status and the quality of professional ethics. Based on the results of the regression analysis, the variable of "organizational culture" affected the quality of professional ethics with the rate of 47%.Conclusion: Organizational culture which is based on the presence of God and trust in Him will result in improving resistance spirit, affection towards the organization and the family, and teamwork spirit, and finally leads to acceptance of values and norms by the people and will increase the quality of professional ethics.
