The Relationship between Students' Participation in Cultural Activities with Improving Their Cultural Capital (Case Study: High School Students in District 3 of Isfahan)

Abstract :

Objective: The present study was conducted to investigate the relationship between participation in cultural activities and promotion in cultural capital in male high school students in District 3 of Isfahan.Methods: The present study was descriptive-correlation with the approach of structural equations. Cochran was determined and selected by stratified random sampling. The instruments used included a cultural participation questionnaire and a cultural capital questionnaire. The validity of the structures and their reliability were confirmed by Cronbach's alpha test. Data were analyzed using spss23 and amos23 software.Results: The rate of participation in cultural activities is significant with the promotion of students' cultural capital and there was a direct and significant relationship between these two variables.Conclusion: The amount of cultural capital increases with the increase of participation in the cultural activities of the male students of the second year of high school in the 3rd district of Isfahan.
