Consequences of the development of exercise therapy: an approach towards community health promotion

Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to determine the consequences of the development of exercise therapy in order to improve community health. This qualitative study conducted using the Foundation's data method and using in-depth interviews with elites and experts in the field. The interviews were continued in a purposeful manner and snowball until the theoretical saturation was reached. The data obtained from the interviews were analyzed using the foundation data method and through three stages of open, axial and selective coding. The findings were categorized to infrastructural, cultural, social, political, economic and health development; and in health development category, included individual and community health, items were decrease in mortality, pain elimination, diseases reduction, getting fit, improving the level of physical health, increasing the level of mobility and activity, gaining a feeling of happiness, strengthening vitality, modulating energy and excitement, staying away from everyday life and improving the level of mental health, increasing the age of death, reducing referring to hospitals, improving the level of vitality and social growth, increasing life expectancy, reducing stress and anxiety were identified. Based on the findings of the research, the development of exercise therapy can be very effective and helpful in individual and community health improvement.
