Designing a model of managerial courage in government organizations is based on a data approach

Abstract :

In order to have an effective and efficient management system, powerful and courageous managers must be trained. The main purpose of this study is to design a model of managerial courage in governmental organizations that has been done qualitatively using the data-driven approach. The statistical population of this research is the managers of governmental organizations in Kurdistan province. In-depth and semi-structured interviews were used to collect data and the data were analyzed by Strauss and Corbin method. The theoretical sampling method was purposeful and snowball technique, based on which interviews were conducted with managers of government organizations. Data were obtained after 11 interviews, duplication and theoretical saturation, but 15 interviews were conducted. The results of the data obtained from the interviews during the open, pivotal and selective coding process resulted in the creation of 140 codes, 8 concepts, 3 main categories and the formation of a foundation data theory in the field of modeling managerial courage in governmental organizations. Findings were compiled in three axes of managerial courage dimensions, effective factors on creating managerial courage and consequences of managerial courage in organizations based on data obtained from managers' opinions.
