Determining the relationship between organizational climate and organizational silence through perceived social support in the employees of the Department of Sports and Youth of Fars

Abstract :
Objective: The purpose of this research is the relationship between the organizational climate and employees' silence through the social support perceived by the employees of the Department of Sports and Youth of Fars. Methods: This research is applied and descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of this research was 114 employees of the General Department of Sports and Youth of Fars, of which 92 people were selected as a sample using the total number sampling method. The data collection tools were standard organizational climate questionnaires by Hoppin and Croft (1963), organizational silence by van Dyne et al. (2003) and perceived social support by Zimmet et al. (1988). Descriptive statistics methods were used to describe the data, and Pearson's correlation coefficient, linear regression, and structural equations were used to analyze the data. Results: The results of the research showed that there was a negative and significant relationship between organizational climate and perceived social support and employee silence, and there was a positive and significant relationship between organizational climates and perceived social support. Also, the relationship between organizational climate and employee silence through perceived social support was not significant. Conclusions: So we conclude that whit welcoming managers, criticisms and opinions of employees and encouraging them to express their differences of opinion on issue, organization can be effective in reducing organizational silence and creating an appropriate organizational atmosphere.
