Abstract :
The present study aims to conceptualize neuroleadership and identify its components based on the lived experience of managers and academic experts, using the qualitative method of Claise phenomenology. In this regard, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 15 senior managers and academic professors and analyzed using Claise's seven-step method. Data analysis led to the extraction of 15 main themes in the form of four general dimensions including: 1) cognitive and neural capabilities (such as neural self-awareness, cognitive decision-making, and self-regulation), 2) social communication and interactions (empathy, emotion regulation, and neural mirroring), 3) mental awareness and coordination (mindfulness and brain coherence), and 4) judgment and ethics (neurojustice). The findings showed that neurocognitive leadership is an interdisciplinary concept that, by relying on neuroscience and cognition, can lead to improved organizational interactions, increased efficiency, enhanced employee motivation, and improved managerial decision-making. Comparing the research findings with previous studies, indicates that the results are consistent with most domestic and foreign research on the impact of neuroscience on leadership behavior and organizational performance. Finally, based on the findings, suggestions for practical use in organizational environments as well as suggested directions for future research are presented.
