A systematic review of the concept of synamorphic and its relationship to behavioral patterns

Abstract :

The concept of behavioral location is a branch of environmental perception and psychology. It is the result of the interaction between humans and the environment and the structural system that governs it. There is an interplay between all the components that are effective in the formation of behavioral patterns (physical system and behavior), which is called co-construction or synomorphism. Synomorphism is a topic that should be explored in urban space, and at the beginning, it should be noted that urban space is like a living being that affects the behavior of the people present in it and is also affected by their behavior, whether it affects the body or the individual. The importance of this issue provides the basis for addressing fundamental concepts such as sinomorphism, which has attracted the attention of urban designers and planners to the application of basic components in relation to sinomorphism and its relationship with behavioral patterns in urban spaces. In this regard, numerous theorists have presented theories such as Barker, Frankovich, Haft, etc., which will be examined in the following for a systematic review of the concept of sinomorphism. The aim of the present study is to answer this concept of what sinomorphism is, what components and subcomponents it includes, and in this regard, what relationship it has with behavioral patterns. The method of the present study is through a systematic review based on a 7-step model, considering the systematic review of articles and reports, by developing an advanced search strategy based on keywords in valid citation databases. In this regard, 156 articles were collected, of which 103 articles remained for the final analysis during the seven stages. The impressions made from the articles based on theoretical frameworks showed that there are 8 effective components in relation to the research and these 8 components are: the effect of behavior on the body container, selection by behavioral and individual bases, time structures, learned responses and the impact of society on it, the appearance of the environment, physiological processes, social forces and, finally, physical forces are the extracted components. Which was measured by examining the distribution of the importance of each component. In this regard, the physiological process with the sub-components of the physical boundary, the objectivity of objects, physical and natural structures, the perceptual system, etc. had the highest score and impact. And finally, the present research has led to the presentation of a final model in line with the research based on the extracted components and sub-components.
