Abstract :

Allameh Tabataba'i, as a contemporary Islamic philosopher, whom some call a Neo-Sadraian philosopher due to his philosophical inclination and style, as well as his expansion and deepening of certain philosophical categories of Transcendent Philosophy (Hikmat Muta'aliyah), is among the thinkers who have presented various specialized viewpoints on anthropology and its sub-branches based on Islamic thought and culture. Allameh is one of the rare Islamic philosophers who has directly and scientifically and practically addressed the issue of culture, and consequently, cultural anthropology. Careful examination of his theories about man and the definition he provides, emphasizing the existential dimensions of man based on the Islamic perspective, including rationality, ethics, spirituality, will, action, and the realm of beliefs, is crucial. In his explanation, cultural man is introduced with characteristics such as being civil by nature, acculturation, socialization, divine nature (fitrah), and the issues and necessities of man's practical life in the pursuit of otherworldly happiness and the well-being of worldly life.
