Abstract :

Abstract : In today's turbulent competitive world, gaining and maintaining a competitive advantage is a prerequisite for the survival and high performance of companies. In this context, the management of companies' capital structure serves as part of the company's leapfrogging mechanisms and encourages managers to take steps in the direction of shareholder interests and improving company performance. The overall goal of this research is to determine the impact of companies' capital structure management on maintaining the stability and financial sustainability of companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange and its consequences considering the current economic conditions of society. This research falls within the domain of empirical financial studies. Methodologically, this research is of the post-event type. On the other hand, this study is descriptive-causal and based on regression equations, and it is applied in nature. The statistical population of this research includes all companies listed on the stock exchange during the years 2017-2022, which were selected through screening. The results showed that debt structure, long-term debt, and short-term debt affect the financial stability of companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange. Additionally, capital structure management affects the financial stability of vulnerable companies that are relatively small, have less diversity, and grow slowly in crisis management.
