Abstract :
Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the role of postural abnormalities on public health, quality of life and job satisfaction among employees.
Methods: The statistical population of this study consisted of all male and female employees of the administrative department of Islamic Azad University of Isfahan, which included 133 women and 290 men. The main variables of the study included physical health, mental health, social relationships and environmental health, satisfaction with salary, job promotion, executive processes, colleagues and communication, physical complaints, anxiety and insomnia, social maladjustment and severe depression as well as abnormalities. In order to assess the public health of employees in this study, the Goldberg General Health Questionnaire was used, and in order to assess the quality of life of employees in this study, the valid questionnaire of the World Health Organization BREF-WHOQOL was used, and to measure job satisfaction, the Spector Job Satisfaction Scale was used.
Results: In general, it can be concluded that the role of musculoskeletal disorders can affect the daily life of individuals and cause a decrease in intellectual and academic efficiency, premature fatigue, physical pain, and decreased self-confidence. Also, given that this study showed that there is a significant relationship between job satisfaction and the prevalence of symptoms of some physical abnormalities, the prevalence of these disorders can be reduced by increasing the level of job satisfaction.
Conclusion: Accordingly, it can be said that improving wages, bonuses, and promotions can be appropriate tools to reduce physical abnormalities.
