Analysis of the dimensions and components affecting the management of the development of public sports

Abstract :
Introduction: The aim of the present study is to investigate the dimensions and components affecting the development of public sports in Khuzestan province.
Method: This study is applied in terms of purpose. The methodological approach is quantitative and the survey method is used. Sports teachers, sports experts (with sports degrees), sports veterans (with national and international experience), and heads of sports committees in Khuzestan province are considered as the statistical population of the study. Morgan table was also used to calculate the sample size, which resulted in a statistical sample of 212 people. Using literature and research background, a researcher-made questionnaire was prepared. In order to determine the face and content validity of the questionnaire and the accuracy of the questions, the questionnaire was distributed among 15 experts and specialists in sports management (professors from state, Azad, Payam Noor universities, as well as doctoral students). SPSS software was used to summarize and classify the raw data.
Findings: The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between the media factor and the development of public sports, and this factor is effective on the development of public sports in Khuzestan Province. There was a significant positive relationship between the quality of life factor and the development of public sports, and this factor is effective on the development of public sports in Khuzestan Province. There was a significant positive relationship between the social resilience factor and the development of public sports, and this factor is also effective on the development of public sports in Khuzestan Province.
Discussion: According to the results, the implementation limitations and lack of cooperation of some research samples and their inattention to completing the questionnaire can be considered as a difficulty of the work.
