Explaining the Model of Environmental Psychological Indicators in the Design of Learning Environments (For Blind Students)

Abstract :

Today, learning is an inevitable thing in modern human life. In the present era, education requires a specific environment that has physical and psychological characteristics that combine to create this environment. It can be said that the beauty and attractiveness of the environment is an important component in its formation. Our society is a combination of various social influences, of which the disabled form a significant part, and blindness and low vision are one of the types of disabilities. However, considering the dominance of the eyes over the body, in blind children without visual perception, the perception of beauty and attractiveness will be a challenge. It should be asked what are the environmental psychology indicators in the design of the learning environment? How do disabled and non-disabled people differ in their sensory connection with the learning environment?

To answer these questions, this study uses a relative positivist method to examine environmental characteristics and structural equation analysis, which has been examined by retrospectively examining the results of past research based on the theories of researchers in this field and field research.

The results of this study show that by defining sensory components and using other senses in defining space and developing attractiveness components, a non-visual definition of beauty can be provided so that environmental enjoyment can be formed appropriately for blind children.
