The Jurisprudential Nature of Interpretation by Analyzing the Content of Interpretative Narrations in the Tafsir of Ali ibn Ibrahim Qomi

Abstract :
One of the most important concepts in the interpretation of the Holy Quran is the understanding and explanation of the inner and true meaning of the verses. This research was conducted with the aim of understanding the nature of interpretation and its characteristics in Qomi's interpretation. Qomi's interpretation is one of the oldest and most important Shiite interpretations that provides interpretation of the verses of the Quran based on the narrations of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.). The research method in this research is qualitative content analysis, which was carried out by extracting and classifying the interpretive narrations related to Imam Ali (a.s.) from among the interpretive narrations of Surah al-Baqarah. The results of the research showed that interpretation in Qomi's interpretation is a multiple and ambiguous concept that has various instances, including historical interpretation, mystical interpretation, moral interpretation, scientific interpretation, and ruling interpretation. The foundations and principles of interpretation in Qomi's interpretation are determined based on revelation, scientific knowledge, consensus, transmission, reason, and the words of Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), and the rules of interpretation include linguistic rules, scientific rules, mystical rules, and moral rules. The sources of interpretation in Qomi's interpretation include Quranic verses, hadiths of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), Islamic history, various sciences, and Islamic mysticism. This research can be used as a useful reference for students and researchers interested in the subject of Quranic interpretation.
