Abstract :

If we consider paradox with all its complexities as the pinnacle of poetic art in conveying concepts, various allegory methods are considered a way to achieve its ambiguous angles and dimensions; The connection of spiritual arrays of allegory and paradox, in addition to highlighting their role in the depth, breadth and impact of words, can bring about many capacities in the content, structure and imagery of a literary work. However, no literary research has appeared in this field so far. The purpose of this research is to investigate and analyze the various methods of allegory in the paradoxes of lyric by Hossein Monzavi and Mohammad Ali Bahmani as two poets who create flow in contemporary poetry and also to clarify the role of allegorical types in understanding and better understanding the types of paradoxes. Analytical-descriptive method is based on library studies. First, the paradoxes of the lyrical poems of these two poets were extracted, and then the specified examples were discussed and evaluated according to the category of content and structural parables. The results obtained from this research show that the combination of allegory and paradox can have functions such as highlighting contrasts, giving depth to the poet's desired emotions, identification, simplifying concepts, creating multi-layers and accessing semantic layers. and also to criticize social issues. The functions that have not been discussed so far and each of them is able to show the value of a literary work in its place.
