Identifying the key and strategic factors for the development of labor sports in Iran

Abstract :

The purpose of this research was to identify the key and strategic factors for the development of Iranian workers' sports. In the first part, in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 experts and initial coding was done. Then the categorization and the effective factors on the development of labor sports in Iran were extracted. In the second part, the factors identified in the matrix of mutual effects analysis were shared among experts and used to identify key and strategic factors. For data analysis, content analysis, summarization and coding, and interaction effects analysis method were used using SPSS and MICMAC software. The findings showed that the key and strategic factors for the development of labor sports in Iran include paying attention to the special needs of different labor groups, financing and attracting investment, sports-oriented culture in workplaces, development of native and traditional sports, motivation, strategic planning and management, culture building and advertising, and sport infrastructures. For the development of workers' sports, it is necessary to identify the needs of each group, provide financial resources for the implementation of sports programs, and managers should try to improve human capital by motivating and creating culture and providing appropriate infrastructure.
