Abstract :
Human capital is one of the most important assets of the organization, and the success of any organization is rooted in the concepts of intelligence, knowledge, especially in management. In the literature related to this topic, there are various definitions of competencies. Improving the quality of education requires qualified and motivated teachers. Teachers, as the most important factors of the educational system, play a very vital role in the learning process of students. Therefore, strengthening and improving teachers and improving their functions should be placed in the priorities of educational policy. The main purpose of this research was to design a professional competency model for Arabic teachers and validate it
In terms of purpose, the current research is applied research, and in terms of qualitative method, it was thematic analysis, which used the theme analysis format of Atride Stirling (2001). The participants in the qualitative part were Arabic teachers and professors of Baghdad University which was selected by the purposeful sampling method and based on the theoretical saturation technique of the required number of samples. The criterion for selecting the sample people was to have a master's degree and a specialized doctorate in the field of educational sciences, and to have sufficient experience in teaching language education. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview. The method of data analysis also includes the extraction of basic, organizing and inclusive themes.
Qualitative analysis of the findings using the theme analysis method led to four overarching themes:belief in God, belief in science, belief in self and belief in people. In addition, twelve organizing themes were also extracted
The findings of the theme analysis process based on Etride and Sterling model lead to four overarching themes namely belief in God, belief in people, belief in science and self-belief, twelve organizing themes including faith and morality, having a lesson plan, technology orientation, specialized Arabic literacy, Guidance, compassion, humility, good conduct, self-confidence and self-knowledge. Therefore, this theme of the organizer is considered as the professional qualifications of Arabic teachers. The findings of this research are largely consistent with the research results of Sharma (2017), Mouszadeh
