Designing an organizational forgetting model(A case study of the principals of the first secondary school in Fars province)

Abstract :
Introduction: Organizational forgetting causes the forgetting and elimination of ineffective and obsolete knowledge and increases the capacity to learn new knowledge in the organization. The current research has presented organizational forgetfulness at the level of first secondary school principals in Fars province in the form of designing a model.
research methodology: This research was according to the tradition of qualitative research with thematic analysis approach. The participants in the research were 21 principals of the first secondary schools of Fars province, who were selected using a criterion-based purposive sampling method. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview based on the principle of theoretical saturation. Data analysis was done based on Atride Stirling's theme network analysis (2001).
Findings: The findings of the research were obtained during three stages of descriptive coding, interpretive coding and identification of the overarching theme in the form of 69 basic themes, 13 organizing themes and 4 overarching themes including: foundation, delearning, replacement and open atmosphere.
Discussion and conclusion: The results of the research showed that in the opinion of the principals of secondary schools in Fars province, by using this model of organizational forgetting and acquiring new knowledge, the organization can create a dynamic and innovative environment for provide organizational forgetting and acquisition of new knowledge and help the continuous progress and growth of the organization.
