Abstract :

Aim of this study was developing and accreditation A framework for identifying the challenges of Islamic University development. This study was a mixed researched typically sequential exploratory type which in was formulated and accreditated primary theorietical fromwork using triangulation method (aligning multiple deta approach) holding three dimensions a) collecting literature reviews, underlying principles related to the research variable b) the studies done in the scope of learning and teaching, c) key informants’ views. Then at the quantitative stage, the reliability and validity of the formulated framework was scrutinized and confirmed using confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach’s Alpha. Findings: In this research, the framework includes three institutional, executive and technical dimensions and 16 components as follows: institutional level including components (system thinking, strategic attitude and development approach, conceptual, structural and functional approach, strategic leadership ); The executive level includes orientation components, main approaches, developmental actions, and special emphasis. The technical level includes the components (diagnosis-orientation, planning, action, evaluation, and learning). This framework can provide grounds for identifying and identifying the challenges of the development of Islamic universities and helping to generate indigenous knowledge.
