The relationship between organizational culture and transformational leadership in the administration of prisons in Iran

Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between the four types of organizational culture (hierarchy, market, and especially the tribal-dominated) and transformational leadership in the administration of prisons in the Gulf.In this research, the study used a questionnaire. The purpose of the study, all Directors, Officers and employees of the Bureau of Prisons Gulf, which has a total of 420, That the number of 380 employees and 40 managers and 207 people were selected. In this study, a simple random sampling method using a table of random numbers was used. Two questionnaires to collect data from multiple aspects of organizational culture and leadership assessment tools usedAnd between leaders and followers is used. Data analysis in both descriptive and inferential statistics were performed using SPSS software. The Pearson correlation coefficient was used to investigate and to determine the impact of each type of transformational leadership, organizational culture on multiple regression analysis was used. The results show that the dominant culture from the perspective of leaders and followers, and a series of transformational leaders know As well as their followers, leaders transformational leadership into practice. The results of the Pearson correlation coefficient indicates that the types of organizational culture and leadership, transformational leadership is a significant positive relationship exists, While the members of this relationship is positive and significant. The results of multiple regression impression that the leaders and the followers of the order of hierarchy, market, especially the tribal-dominated and have the greatest impact on transformational leadership
