Abstract :
The expansion of urbanization and population growth in metropolises and the growth of industrial activities in cities have caused changes in the microclimate of urban areas. One of the results of these changes is the heat islands of the city. The city of Shiraz has also grown rapidly in recent years. Knowing the temperature of the earth's surface reveals the temporal-spatial changes of the energy balance on the earth's surface. Madis's LST products are presented continuously and in regular rows and globally process spatio-temporal changes in the form of daily, eight-day and monthly products. The purpose of this research is to analyze the data output of the Madis sensor in order to distribute the temperature of the ground at night and during the day on a monthly basis in the urban area of Shiraz. For this purpose, the surface temperature data of Madis, which were produced using day-night chorasmic, were extracted for the statistical period of 2001-2021 based on the output of the product called MOD11C3 (V5). Using coding in the Google Earth Engine system, the surface temperature of the earth was calculated separately for night and day for 12 months of the year. For the final monitoring, the IDW geostatistics method was used for zoning the surface temperature. According to the results, December has the minimum annual temperature of 2.29 in Shiraz. Except for the months of January, February and December, the maximum temperature of the rest of the year is more than 20 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature is 47.67 degrees Celsius in June. Night temperature is negative only in January. January has the lowest temperature in Shiraz on 2/26. In the months of May, June, July, August and September, their maximum temperature is more than 20 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature is 26.75 in August. In terms of location, the maximum temperature of the earth's surface is in the central and southern areas of the city, and the concentration of the minimum temperature is in the northwestern areas of the urban area.
