Abstract :
Place Attachment is the result of activities and interactions between man and place and human-human in a particular place. The existence and high level of attachment in the inhabitants of a place, Neighborhood, City, Causing Importance that place For the person And increased participation in Developmental and political activities and increase the level of social interaction of citizens. It also has emotional relationships with places affects on the ability of people to respond to changes and perceived risk and preparedness against risks (social resilience). The purpose of this research investigated the effect of place attachment on social resilience in District 12 of Tehran. The research method base on purpose is practical and it`s descriptive-analytic. In order to gather data used the documentary and field study methods. The research tool is a questionnaire. The sample size is 384 calculated based on Cochran method and it determines whole region population (239611). Base on the documentary results the social resilience indices are participation, trust, social coherence, efficiency and effectiveness and social support awareness, knowledge, ability and in the section attachment locations, including emotional attachment, place dependence and place identity that was analyzed using single sample T-test, Pearson correlation, and single-variable regression. The results show that of place attachment and social resilience indices are poor conditions in district 12 of Tehran. There is a significant correlation between place attachment indices and the result of a single-valued regression shows social resilience and place attachment has a great effect on social resilience.
