The Resiliency as a Mediator for Attachment Styles and Perceived Stress

Abstract :
This study was carried out in order to interpret the relationship between attachment styles and the perceived stress with mediating role of resilience among students. The subjects in this survey were composed of 150 female and male high school students, who were elected by means of multi-stage clustered sampling method. The measurement tools used in this study included three questionnaires of Connor- Davidson Resilience Scale, Adult Attachment Styles, and Perceived Stress Scale. The results of this study showed that according to final model, there are direct significant correlation between the two-sided attachment/ anxiety style, which is of the strongest dimension of attachment style, with perceived stress; while, the secured and attachment , as one of the attachment styles variable, determined to be the weakest dimension, had direct significant correlation with the perceived stress variable; however, it could have effect on the perceived stress by resilience impact, so, it made a stronger relationship.
