Abstract :

A causal model for explaining family conflicts in families with ADHD children in Shiraz


The purpose of this study was to design and test the causal model for explaining family conflicts in families with ADHD children, among 250 mothers who were referred to psychologist and counselors in shiraz who were selected by random sampling method.
The method of this research is a correlation. To collect data, used three questionnaires, Brief Symptom Inventor, family scale of Mouse and colleagues and The Child Behavior Check List were used.
The data were analyzed using AMOS and SPSS software. Findings showed that children's behavioral problems have a direct and significant effect on both mother's distress and family conflicts. Mother distress has an immediate and considerable impact on family conflicts, as well as the indirect impact of children's non-behavioral problems on family conflicts was significant due to suffering in the mother.
In general, the data showed that the proposed model of RAMSE = /069 was fitted. Therefore, the above results show that the high model due to paying attention to the role of possible factors is an effective route for family health and well-being.
