Abstract :
Objective: The main goal of this study is to design and validate a structural model for sustainable banking by identifying key components and determining their hierarchical relationships.
Research Methodology: This research was conducted using a mixed-methods approach. In the qualitative phase, a hierarchical model was designed using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) and the opinions of 15 banking experts. In the quantitative phase, the model’s relationships were tested using data from 60 bank employees and SmartPLS software.
Findings: A three-level model was presented where “macro-governmental factors” are at the third level (most influential) and “sustainable banking outcomes” are at the first level (most dependent). The quantitative analysis confirmed the significant positive effects of all hypothesized relationships in the model.
Originality/Scientific Value Added: The novelty of this research lies in providing a validated structural model that clearly explains the hierarchy of influence from the macro level to performance outcomes in sustainable banking, offering a practical roadmap for bank managers.
