The effect of voluntary flexibility of risk committees of the board of directors on the risk of financial restrictions in banks admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange

Abstract :

Today, the concept of risk has attracted the attention of investors. Various risk assessment methods have been devised to help investors and risk management standards have been developed by professional organizations to expand risk management systems. The discussion of the risk of financial limitations is one of the basic and important issues facing all companies. In other words, “predicting the risk of financial restriction” is an important phenomenon for investors, creditors and other users of financial information. The general purpose of this research is to evaluate the effect of the voluntary flexibility of the risk committees of the board of directors on the risk of financial restrictions in companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange. The research data was analyzed using the panel data model and the results showed that the presence of the company risk committee, the size of the company risk committee, the independence of the company risk committee, the financial expertise of the company risk committee, the presence of women in the company risk committee and the average age of the company risk committee has a negative effect on the risk of financial restrictions.
