Development of a model to promote effective on-the-job training of administrative staff of Islamic Azad University (studied in Tehran province)

Abstract :
Background and Aim: The present study aimed to provide a model for promoting effective on-the-job training of administrative staff of Islamic Azad University. Method: The statistical population in the qualitative section included experts in the field of on-the-job training of employees and in the quantitative section were all of the official and contracted non-faculty members of the Islamic Azad University of Tehran Province in the academic year 2018-19. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview for the qualitative section and a self-made questionnaire for the quantitative section. Results: Confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha were examined in quantitative part. The goodness of fit for the questionnaire was 0.91, the RMSEA was 0.072, and the overall Cronbach's alpha was equal to 0.812 as a measure of reliability. The results led to the identification of 3 dimensions, 8 components and 42 indicators. Discussion and Conclusion: The study resulted in development of a model for improving effective on-the-job training of administrative staff of Islamic Azad University is appropriate.
