Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of mindfulness-based stress reduction program on academic boredom and well-being of secondary school students in Maragheh. The design of the present study is an experimental type that was performed as a pretest-posttest with a control group. The statistical population of the study included all high school students in Maragheh. According to the multi-stage cluster sampling method, 30 people were selected from the mentioned population as a statistical sample. The research instruments included Barso et al.'s academic boredom standard questionnaire and the Kono and Rimpla school welfare scale. Analysis of covariance was used to analyze the data. Findings showed that teaching mindfulness-based stress reduction program has an effect on academic boredom and students' school well-being (0.001). These findings can be explained by the usefulness of using a mindfulness-based stress reduction program on academic boredom and school well-being.
