Identify and prioritize the skrills of school leaders

Abstract :
The aim of this research was to identify the most important skills of educational leaders and with a mixed exploratory method. The statistical population in the qualitative section included professors and experts with scientific achievements in the field of leadership and educational management at home and abroad, and in the quantitative section, 200 principals with a history of secondary schools in Garmsar in the academic year of 2019-2020 . The sampling method in the qualitative part was snowball and the sample size was determined with a theoretical saturation of 5 people. The data collection tool in the qualitative part was a semi-structured interview and in the quantitative part was a structured questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.82. In order to analyze the data, in the qualitative part, open, axial and selective coding methods preformed and in the quantitative part, the Friedman test was performed. The results of this study showed that among the skills of educational leaders, interpersonal skills with the highest priority and mental-behavioral skills, organizational skills and professional-professional skills are classified in the next ranks, respectively.
