Investigating the effect of information acquisition and management expertise on venture capital performance with the mediating role of venture strategies

Abstract :
One of the new industries that has created a huge revolution in the field of supporting innovative projects, start-up companies and entrepreneurs in recent years is the venture capital industry. In our country, due to the expansion of entrepreneurial culture and the increase of knowledge-based companies in recent years, the need to pay more attention to this industry and improve the performance of venture capital is noticeable. This research aims to explain the effect of information acquisition and management expertise on venture capital performance with the mediating role of venture strategies. The research method is based on the practical purpose and on the basis of descriptive survey implementation, and the statistical population includes venture capital companies. A questionnaire was used to collect information and Structural equation modeling was used to examine research hypotheses, and the results indicate that information acquisition and management expertise have an effect on venture strategies and venture capital performance. It was also observed that venture strategies play a mediating role in the effect of information acquisition and management expertise on venture capital performance. Finally, practical suggestions are provided.
