Abstract :
In recent years, many topics have been raised about social capital in the scientific community of Iran. Considering the importance of social capital in the functioning of societies in different fields, one of the most important issues discussed in this topic is the ways and How to boost and, on the other hand, the weakening of social capital. In this regard, several factors are mentioned at both macro and micro levels. It seems that despite the multitude of issues related to the issue of strengthening or weakening social capital, the role of the state has been somewhat neglected and has been neglected. In this paper, considering the presence of the government as a top performer in the socio-political sphere of Iran, over the past many centuries, to this day, the role of the government in the context of weakening social capital, especially as regards participation as one of The key components of social capital are emphasized. The findings show that during the years 2005 to 1392, we have been faced with the weakening of social capital in Iran.
