Identifying and prioritizing the effective factors in human capital development of Iranian university sport

Abstract :
Purpose of research is to identifying and prioritizing the effective factors in human capital development of Iranian university sport. Research method was mixed using qualitative method of content analysis and quantitative descriptive method of survey. In qualitative section, research experts were 19 professors and directors of university sports who were selected through non-random sampling in a purposeful way until theoretical saturation and data were collected in-depth interviews and analyzed by maxqda software. According to results of human capital development model, it was classified 8 main categories. In quantitative part, regarding evaluation of qualitative model and construction of measurement tools, questionnaire was developed according to open codes extracted from interviews and distributed and collected among university sports experts according Morgan table and relative class sampling method. Based on results of first and second stage exploratory analysis, questions of human capital development model include 74.710 % of total variance and all components have an acceptable correlation with model. Results of confirmatory factor analysis of first and second stages show that relationships of questions with factor are significant and relationship of components with scale of pattern is significant. Comparison of average rankings shows components of human capital development model include: moral context; competency factors; performance management; service compensation; maintenance management; teaching and learning; and succession and recruitment. In order to operationalize development of human capital in university sports, a favorable investment should be made based on scientific-sports talents, and use of sports heroes should be among the strategies for development of human capital.
