Abstract :
There is a hot debate between Mutazila and Asharites about “concomitance of being (wujud) and object (sheii)” in Islamic theology (kalām). Mutazila believes that object is a more universal concept than being and that any existent being can be an object but not any object can be an existent being. Asharites, on the other hand, believe that being and object are synonymous concepts. Hajviri (in Kashfo-al- Mahjoob) and Mulavi’s (in Masnavi) points of view are the subject of the present article.
