Abstract :
The main objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between budget deficits, inflation and money supply growth rate in Iran as one of the most important subjects in macroeconomics. In many countries, the budget deficit policy is used as one of the tools of financial policy. The relationship between the government budget deficit and the macroeconomic variables is somewhat ambiguous. All data related to inflation, budget deficit and money supply growth rate have been collected from the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian Statistical Center. Econometric methods including stability test, White, Johansson and vector regression test (VAR) were used to examine the hypothesis. The results of the present study show a positive and significant relationship between budget deficit, inflation and money supply growth that confirms the hypotheses of the study.
