Abstract :
This research has investigated needs of young members of public libraries in Tehran which are sponsored by Iran public library organization ,by using survey method. Uderstanding and determination study needs is the main aim of the research. Also tring to to specifying the motive and aim of studyingt between public library young members, and determining important sources and facilities for obtaining information. About 600 of 53251 young members were surveyed as samples in bunched sample method, roportional to the size and volume of each area.Data was collected by questionnaires . The results show that the priorities subjects are: technology and applied sciences with 25.6 percent, art subject with 22.1 percent, history and geography subject with 20.5percent. The results show that the most necessary facilities are: access to Internet and training CDs. Findings show that study needs of young members are not the same and are different.
