Abstract :
Objective: This study was conducted to determine the views of librarians of public libraries in Golestan province towards knowledge sharing.Methodology: The present research is descriptive-survey method and applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population of the study includes 115 librarians of public libraries in Golestan province, whose sample size is estimated at 88 according to Cochran's formula. To collect data, Mohammadi Knowledge Sharing Questionnaire (2015) was used. Data analysis was performed using SPSS24 software. Results: The results showed that the highest average is related to the overall score of knowledge sharing (84.02) and the lowest is related to the technical subscale (10.33). Higher average knowledge sharing in the library means that librarians of public libraries in Golestan province have a good knowledge sharing, and this indicates that most library staff were aware of the importance of knowledge sharing and appreciated the value of knowledge sharing. There is also a positive and significant relationship between individual, technical and organizational subscales with the overall score of knowledge sharing. Conclusion: The view of librarians in Golestan province towards knowledge sharing is favorable. Due to the low average of technical scale among librarians of public libraries in Golestan province, it is worthwhile to increase the quality of tools and technology for knowledge sharing in order to institutionalize the technical scale of knowledge sharing in the organization.
