Study and analysis of scientific researches of holy books indexed in scientific databases

Abstract :

Objective: The aim of this comparative study is to use the keywords of the Quran, the Bible (New Testament) and the Torah (Old Testament) in the titles of articles in the PubMed databases, the British Library and the Library of Congress, in order to make the best use of them in everyday life.  Methods: The research method is analytical-descriptive and performed using Scientometric techniques. The statistical population of the study was scientific articles published in the databases of the PubMed, the British Library and the Library of Congress. The Quran, the Bible and the Torah are used. Results: The Findings indicated that in the mentioned time return, 35288 records with the title of holy books have been indexed in the Library of Congress with 21997, the British Library with 13202, the PubMed database with 89 documents. That, of the total number of articles published in the databases respectively: the Bible with 80%, the Quran with 11.3% and the Torah with 8.7%. Conclusion: The use of holy books in many scientific fields, especially in the field of medicine is used and can help as a guide.
