Explanation of relationship between globalization and individualism among the Youth between 15 to 29 Years of Age in Yazd

Abstract :

This study with regard to the significant role of globalization and its components in the growth of individualism in intends to investigate the relationship between globalization and individualism among youth 15 and 29 years of age in the Yazd city. In this study, a survey was conducted with 384 young people from Yazd using multi-stage cluster sampling using a research made questionnaire. Cronbach's alpha coefficient is used to calculate the reliability of questionnaire. Finding of the study showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between gender and horizontal individualism and there is not a significant relationship between gender and vertical individualism. There is not a significant relationship between education level and individualism. Also, there is a significant positive relationship between globalization and its dimensions and vertical individualism. And there is a significant and positive relationship between horizontal individualism and Cultural Globalization. The regression analysis results indicate that cultural globalization over 17% of the variance in vertical individualism explains.
