AbstractIt has been shown that the overdense plasma in the resonance conditions can be totally transparent to the incident electromagnetic waves, due to the excitation of the surface modes or plasmons. This scenario requires excitation of a single surface mode which is provided by placing a dielectric layer in front of the incident wave. Here, it is shown that this procedure would be complete and more efficient by arranging the conditions to excite coupled surface modes, namely by placing two dielectrics on both sides of the plasma layer. The results show that in this case, the overdense plasma slab could poses high transmittance in spite of the presence of the dissipative effects. In addition, in this case, the resonance conditions can be achieved more easily and efficiently, and can be used for wider range of the overdense plasma widths. تفاصيل المقالة

AbstractThe dominant procedure for the transmission of electromagnetic waves on an over-dense plasma layer is the excitation of surface waves. The conditions for this wave excitation on the surface of over-dense plasma, hence, become important. Here, the dispersion relation for the surface wave excitation on an over-dense plasma medium which is exposed to a magnetic field is studied. These investigations lead to the condition required for producing the surface waves. By this dispersion condition, an analytical function for the wave vector in terms of the phase velocity and the cyclotron and collision frequencies is established. Specifically, the outgoings of these dependencies and also the condition for exciting more stable waves are discussed. تفاصيل المقالة

The propagation of surface waves in a fluid- saturated porous isotropic layer over a semi-infinite homogeneous elastic medium with an irregularity for free and rigid interfaces have been studied. The rectangular irregularity has been taken in the half-space. The dispersion equation for Love waves is derived by simple mathematical techniques followed by Fourier transformations. It can be seen that the phase velocity is strongly influenced by the wave number, the depth of the irregularity, homogeneity parameter and the rigid boundary. The dimensionless phase velocity is plotted against dimensionless wave number graphically for different size of rectangular irregularities and homogeneity parameter with the help of MATLAB graphical routines for both free and rigid boundaries for several cases. The numerical analysis of dispersion equation indicates that the phase velocity of surface waves decreases with the increase in dimensionless wave number. The obtained results can be useful to the study of geophysical prospecting and understanding the cause and estimating of damage due to earthquakes. تفاصيل المقالة

In this paper, the structure of SAW has been studied. In previous work in SAW, materials such as lithium niobium, lithium tantalite and gallium nitride were used in the structure of SAW, and thus had a low operating frequency and the highest reported operating frequency was about 4 GHz. In this paper, aluminum nitride and gallium nitride in the SAW structure are used in combination. The electrodes used in the structure are also made of aluminum. Comsol software was used to simulate the structure, and for the structure, the operating frequency was 7.02 GHz.and this wave guide by this design have a better performance of another structures تفاصيل المقالة

In this paper, we employed the attenuated total reflection (ATR) technique to theoretically and experimentally measure the thickness of metal thin films and compare together them. The computations of the present study were carried out using characteristics matrix method. The ATR technique is based on the excitation of surface polaritons. In the ATR spectra polariton, the surface polaritons manifest themselves as sharp reflectivity minima. We used this minimum to measure the thickness of a silver layer coated on the surface of a prism. We observed that the measured value has a good agreement with the real thickness of the layer. تفاصيل المقالة
