        In manufacturing industry, it has been acknowledged that tool wear prediction has an important role in higher quality of products and acceptable efficiency. Being an emerging area of research in recent years, drilling tool wear is an important factor which directly affects quality parameters of machined hole such as hole centring, roundness, burr formation and finished surface. In this paper, the genetic equation for prediction of drilling tool flank wear was developed using the experimentally measured wear values and genetic programming for two different materials, AISI1020 and AISI8620 steels. These equations could be used to compare the behaviour of wear in both mentioned materials and analyse the effect of materials characteristics on wear rate and wear pattern. The suggested equations have been shown to correspond well with experimental data obtained for flank wear when machining in various cutting conditions.The results of experiments and equations showed that properties of work material can affect drill bit flank wear drastically. It was concluded that greater toughness and strength of AISI8620, compared to AISI1020, lead to higher cutting stresses and temperatures, resulting more flank wear. تفاصيل المقالة

        In this paper, a real-time intelligent adaptive control with optimization methodology is proposed to produce parts with uniform surface roughness in finish turning of hardened AISI D2. Unlike traditional optimization approaches, the proposed methodology considers cutting tool real condition. Wavelet packet transform of cutting tool vibration signals followed by neural network was used to estimate tool flank wear. Intelligent models (artificial neural networks and genetic programming) were utilized to predict surface roughness and tool wear during machining process. Particle swarm optimization algorithm determined optimum feed rate that resulted in desired surface roughness. Performed confirmatory experiments indicated that the proposed adaptive control method not only resulted in parts with acceptable uniform quality, but also decreased the machining cost up to 8.8% and increased material removal rate up to 20% in comparison with those of traditional CNC turning systems. تفاصيل المقالة

        In this study we provide insurance companies with a tool to classify the risk level and predict the possibility of future claims. The support vector machine (SVM) and genetic programming (GP) are two approaches used for the analysis. Basically, in Iran insurance industry there is no systematic strategy to evaluate the car body insurance policy. Companies refer mainly to the world experience and employ it to rate the premium. An insurance claim dataset provided by an Iranian insurance company with a sample size of 37904 is considered for programming and analysis. Awareness of how the relationship between rainfall and runoff in catchments is an inseparable part of water studies. Absence of sufficient rainfall - runoff data due to the lack of appropriate hydrometric stations, reveals the importance of using indirect methods and evolutionary algorithms to predict the discharge of catchment areas more than before. In this research, a genetic programming model has been used to simulate rainfall-runoff process in the Khorramabad river basin.         Considering the importance of water and computing the amount of rainfall runoff resulted from precipitation in recent decades, using appropriate methods for predicting the amount of runoff from rainfall date has been really essential. Rainfall-runoff models are used to estimate runoff generated from precipitation in the catchment area. Rainfall-runoff process is totally a non-linear phenomenon. In the present study, it has been tried to Model Ghatoor-Chai River rainfall-runoff, one of the studying sub-basins of Aras River with an area of 8544 square kilometers, by genetic programming and to analyze the results. In this study, the statistical data from Ghatoor-Chai’s daily rainfall-runoff, Marakan hydrometric station during the period 1386-1390 has been used. Data from events during the period 1386-1389 is used for training and data from 1390 for testing. In this modeling, 8 input models have been defined for the system. After applying input models in system, the results based on statistical measures of root-mean-square error and correlation coefficient were analyzed and evaluated. The findings show the success of genetic programming for rainfall-runoff process and this procedure can be suggested as a way for modeling this process. تفاصيل المقالة

        In the literature, the application of multi-objective dynamic scheduling problem and simple priority rules are widely studied. Although these rules are not efficient enough due to simplicity and lack of general insight, composite dispatching rules have a very suitable performance because they result from experiments. In this paper, a dynamic flexible flow line problem with sequence-dependent setup times is studied. The objective of the problem is minimization of mean flow time and mean tardiness. A 0–1 mixed integer model of the problem is formulated. Since the problem is NP-hard, four new composite dispatching rules are proposed to solve it by applying genetic programming framework and choosing proper operators. Furthermore, a discrete-event simulation model is made to examine the performances of scheduling rules considering four new heuristic rules and the six adapted heuristic rules from the literature. It is clear from the experimental results that composite dispatching rules that are formed from genetic programming have a better performance in minimization of mean flow time and mean tardiness than others. تفاصيل المقالة

        The use of hybrid fibers in concrete has attracted wide attention in recent years. Using hybrid fibers with different elasticity moduli increases the strength and ductility of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC). In addition, hybrid fibers improve the shear strength of FRC beams significantly. The previous studies have shown that the hybrid use of fibers leads to a phenomenon, called synergy. However, the effect of combining hybrid fibers with stirrups is scantly studied and continues to main unknown. In this study, the effects of stirrups, concrete compressive strength, polypropylene fibers, steel fibers, and their hybrids on the shear strength of FRC beams are investigated. For this purpose, 24 FRC beams were tested in an experimental program. Experimental results show that samples with hybrid fiber have the highest shear performance. Additionally, a new model for simulating these beams' shear strength is presented, using genetic programming technique. The proposed model precisely predicts sample performance. The R2 for this model was 0.868, which is a suitable value due to the complexity of the problem. تفاصيل المقالة

The main advantages of such weirs are ease of construction and capability of measuring a wide range of flows with sufficient accuracy. Artificial neural networks (ANNs) and genetic programming (GP) have recently been used for estimation of hydraulic data. In this study, theywere used as alternative tools to estimate flow discharge over the submerged truncated weirs. The hydraulic parameter of water flow rate,Qwas determined as functions of thecrestwidth b, upstream head h, weir height P1,tail waterdepth , and flumewidth B. Estimations of the ANN and GP models were in good agreement with the measured data. The ANN model results were compared with those of the GP1,GP2, GP3and GP4 models and showedthat the proposed ANN models are much more accurate than the GP models.In addition, GP2 model has a better performance than GP1,GP3, GP4models. تفاصيل المقالة

        دکل های مهاری بخش مهمی از زیر ساخت های سامانه ارتباطی هر کشور هستند.از این رو حفظ شرایط بهره برداری از آنها پس از رخدادهای طبیعی همچون زلزله بسیار حائز اهمیت است. در این مقاله رفتار لرزه ای دکل های مهاری بررسی می شود.بدین منظور تعدادی از دکل های مهاری که در نقاط مختلف جهان مورد بهره برداری قرار گرفته اند، تحت اثر نیروهای زلزله مورد بررسی قرار می گیرند. به طور کلی مطالعات انجام شده بر روی دکل های مهاری به دو دسته نیروهای حاصل از باد و زلزله و واکنش متقابل دکل ها به چنین نیروهایی تقسیم بندی می شوند. در این مقاله اثر نیروی زلزله و پاسخ دکل به تحریکات لرزه ای مورد بررسی قرار می گیرد. در ابتدا آنالیز مودال برای بدست آوردن مود طبیعی ارتعاش دکل ها انجام شده سپس دکل تحت یک آنالیز طیفی و متعاقبا تحت مولفه های شتاب زمان زلزله ال سنترو قرار می گیرد. خروجی آنالیز دکل های مهاری توسط نرم افزار ANSYS دو پارامتر فرکانس و ماکزیمم تغییر مکان جانبی دکل می باشد. نتایج این دو خروجی تحلیل دکل در مدل سازی رفتار دینامیکی دکل ها توسط مدل های محاسباتی برنامه ریزی ژنتیک و آتاماتای سلولی مورد استفاده قرار میگیرد. تفاصيل المقالة
