Author Guidelines for Submission to Applied Nanomaterials and Smart Polymers
1-Manuscript Structure:
A typical research article submitted to *Applied Nanomaterials and Smart Polymers* should include the following sections in order:
Title Page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments (optional), Nomenclature or Abbreviations, References, Tables, Figures and Illustrations, and Supplementary Materials (if applicable).

3. Title Page
ThThe title page must include the following elements:
a) Full Title: The title should be concise and descriptive, ideally no more than 15-20 words. Avoid unnecessary abbreviations or jargon. It should accurately reflect the content of your paper and its contributions.
b) Full Author Names: All authors should be listed with their full first name and last name, separated by commas. Avoid abbreviations.
c) Author Affiliations: Beneath each author's name, list their department, institution, city, and country. If multiple authors share the same affiliation, group them accordingly.
d) Corresponding Author Information: The corresponding author should be indicated with an asterisk (*) following their name. Provide their full name, affiliation, email address, and optionally, phone number.
e) Running Title (or Short Title): A brief version of the main title (maximum 50 characters, including spaces) for use as a page header.
f) Acknowledgments (Optional): Briefly acknowledge funding sources, technical assistance, or other contributions, if applicable.
4. Abstract
The abstract should be a self-contained, concise summary of the manuscript (typically 200-300 words). It should include the following:
- Background of the study.
- Research objectives and aims.
- Methodology used.
- Key findings and results.
- Major conclusions and implications.
Avoid references to figures, tables, and citations in the abstract. The abstract should be understandable to a general scientific audience.
5. Keywords
Provide 3 to 6 keywords that best describe the main topics of your research. These should be specific and concise, avoiding overly broad or generic terms. These keywords are essential for indexing and improving the visibility of your paper.
6. Main Body of the Manuscript
The main body of the manuscript should be organized into clearly defined sections. Typical sections include:
a) Introduction: Provide the background of the problem, research objectives, significance of the study, and relevant literature. The introduction should lead to the hypothesis or research question. Make sure it is clear, concise, and informative.
b) Materials and Methods: Detail the materials, equipment, and methods used in the study. This section should be clear and thorough enough to allow replication of the work. Specify any specialized instruments, software, or techniques.
c) Results: Present the findings in a clear, organized manner. Use tables, figures, and graphs as necessary to present quantitative data. Each figure/table should be referenced in the text.
d) Discussion: Interpret the results, compare with existing literature, and explain their significance. Discuss potential limitations of the study and suggest future directions for research.
e) Conclusions: Summarize the key findings and their implications. Mention any practical applications or areas for further study.
7. Author Information
a) Full Author Names: List all authors with full first and last names. If multiple authors share an affiliation, use superscript numbers to link authors to their institutions.
b) Corresponding Author Designation: Identify the corresponding author with bold and italic formatting and provide their contact details (email address and optionally, phone number).
c) Handling Multiple Authors and Affiliations: Use superscript numbers after each author’s name to link them to their respective institutions. Provide the corresponding institution list with numbers below the author list

8. Nomenclature and Abbreviations
List all symbols, abbreviations, and acronyms used in the manuscript. Provide clear definitions for each, including units where applicable. A table format may help with organization.

9. Equations and Mathematical Expressions
- Number equations consecutively throughout the manuscript.

- Reference equations in the main text, e.g., "As shown in Eq. (1)."

10. Citations and References
a) Follow the citation style IEEE.

11. Tables
a) Number tables consecutively with clear, concise captions above each table.
b) Ensure that tables are clear, readable, and appropriately formatted.
c) Tables should be placed within the text after their first mention. Use appropriate headings for each column.
12. Figures and Illustrations
a) Number figures consecutively and place them within the text after their first mention.
b) Provide clear, informative captions below each figure.
c) Figures should be high-resolution (300 dpi or higher for raster images) and appropriately labeled.
d) Submit figures in acceptable formats (e.g., TIFF, JPEG, EPS, AI) if requested by the journal.
13. Complementary Materials (Appendix/Supporting Information)
Provide any supplementary data, raw data sets, multimedia files, or extended methodology in an appendix. Ensure supplementary materials are accessible and in appropriate formats.
