    In this paper, a voltage-current mode controller is proposed to adjust both the input current and DC voltage of a boost-inverter in order to improve the performance of the photovoltaic (PV). The proposed system is based on fuzzy-making-decision predictive voltage-current controller (FPVCC). The simulation results show that in case of using the proposed FPVCC, the input current of a PV array is in the limited value (i.e., is approximate 27% of the short-circuit current of a PV panel) compared with a classical voltage controller, an over-current is passing through PV array (i.e., is about 155% of the short-circuit current). Also, the waveform of the output voltage is sinusoidal with low total harmonic distortion (THD), i.e. 4.21%, and the power obtained from a PV array with FPVCC is approximately 6 times of power obtained without a controller. تفاصيل المقالة

    Electric and hybrid electric vehicles are attractive candidates for sustainable transportation due to its higher efficiency and low emission. The critical choice on the electric motors is its capability of motoring and regenerative braking characteristics. Switched reluctance machines are viable candidate as with proper control and extended constant power range operation replacing the multi-gear transmission. Recently developed dual magnetic circuit reluctance machine configuration make it added advantage with its feasibility on the optimizing the magnetic flux flow. The dual magnetic circuit reluctance machines through double rotor is presented and compared with conventional machine for its power density. Further to evaluate the dynamic performance the proposed machine is compared with that of the conventional machine. It is found that the torque density of the proposed machine is 65% higher than that of the conventional machine and show promising candidate for the EV and HEV applications in the near future. تفاصيل المقالة

    This paper proposes a novel robust control scheme based on delay-dependent H∞for unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) in a microgrid under the influence of the delay and parameter uncertainties.     A new technique presents to improve the performance of dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) for voltage sag mitigation. This control scheme is based on cuckoo search algorithm with tree fuzzy rule based classifier (CSA-TFRC). CSA is used for optimizing the output of TFRC so the classification output of the network is enhanced. While, the combination of cuckoo search algorithm, fuzzy and decision tree classifier can create a hybrid classifier. Here, Fuzzy and decision tree algorithm will be sufficiently combined with cuckoo search algorithm. The proposed CSA-TFRC algorithm based DVR is simulated in MATLAB software with comparison of traditional DVR and neuro-fuzzy based DVR.
