    An efficient and environmentally adapted synthesis of 2-amino-3-phenylsulfonyl-4-aryl-4H-benzo[h]chromenderivatives by condensation of a wide range of aryl aldehydes, α-naphthol and (phenylsulfonyl)acetonitrile using a catalytic amount of nano-ZnOunder solvent-free condition is explained. This catalyst was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR),X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (EDX)and Thermogravimetric analysis (TG).As aresult, 2-amino-3-phenylsulfonyl-4-aryl-4H-benzo[h]chromens were produced under facile conditions in high yield (89-96%) and high rate (8-15 min) using nano-ZnO as a recyclable catalyst. تفاصيل المقالة

    Microwave assisted reactions have gained considerable attention, due to versatility and reduction ofsolvent and reaction time. The reaction of a nano-coconut shell and boron tri-fluoride in diethylether solvent resulted in preparation of nano-coconut shell-BF3 as a catalyst. The nano-coconutshell-BF3 catalyst has been characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), fieldemission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).Nano-coconut shell-BF3 has been applied as a new heterogeneous catalyst for synthesis of 4Hchromenederivatives from the simple one-pot reaction between aryl aldehydes, cyclic 1,3-diketoneand, malononitrile under microwave reaction.
