بافتهای تاریخی شهری نقش بسزایی در پیوند گذشته با حال و آینده ایفا کرده و ظرفیت قابل توجهی برای توسعه اقتصادی پایدار شهرها دارند. این بافتها در معرض تهدیدات متعددی هستند و حفاظت و بازآفرینی آنها ضروری است. در این میان، بازآفرینی شهری بهعنوان رویکردی جامع و گردشگری شهری بهعنوان صنعتی پویا، نقش کلیدی در احیا و تقویت این بافتها ایفا میکنند.پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی روابط آماری میان ابعاد بازآفرینی شهری (کالبدی، زیستمحیطی، اجتماعی، اقتصادی و نهادی) و شاخصهای توسعه پایدار گردشگری در بافت تاریخی خرمآباد انجام شده است. این مطالعه از نظر هدف کاربردی و از نظر ماهیت تبیینی بوده و با روش تحقیق آمیخته، دادههای مورد نیاز از طریق منابع اسنادی و پرسشنامه گردآوری شدهاند. نمونهگیری بهصورت تصادفی ساده انجام و دادهها با استفاده از نرمافزار SPSS و آزمون همبستگی پیرسون تحلیل شدهاند. نتایج نشاندهنده وجود روابط مثبت، معنادار و نسبتاً قوی میان اغلب ابعاد بازآفرینی شهری و شاخصهای توسعه پایدار گردشگری است که بهویژه همبستگی بالای ابعاد محیطی و کالبدی، اهمیت رویکردی یکپارچه و میانبخشی در بازآفرینی این بافت تاریخی را تأکید میکند.
