        Role-plays provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate how to use English in real life situations and make them focus more on communication than on grammar. Oral presentations like conversations are a great way for students to practice their English skills. Therefore, this paper makes an attempt to investigate whether teaching conversation through role play affects the students’ speaking development. The participants were included 50 Iranian junior high students in Iran. The findings showed that participants who received the treatment demonstrated 21% improvement in speaking skill. Thus, the findings suggested that teaching conversation through role play is supposed to be an effective technique in promoting students’ speaking ability. Manuscript profile

        This study intended to explore English teachers’ job satisfaction in Ilam Province in the west of Iran. To do so, a quantitative approach including teacher job satisfaction survey aimed at gathering personal information (demographics) and teacher job satisfaction questionnaire, the purpose of which was to gather teachers’ attitudes toward their profession, was used. Two-hundred English teachers in Ilam province responded the questionnaires. The gathered data were classified and analyzed via SPSS software (version 18.00) conducting independent samples t-tests and one-way MANOVA techniques. The results indicated that that students’ level of IQ and numbers of students in each class are important variables that affect level of job satisfaction of EFL teachers in Ilam province. But the results revealed that teachers' experience, teachers' school type, and teachers' level of education do not affect level of job satisfaction of EFL teachers in Ilam province.         Contrastive analysis of hypothesis is the comparison of the linguistic system of two or more languages and it is based on the main difficulties in learning a new language that caused by interference from the first language. The present study intended to investigate the effect of contrastive analysis on Iranian intermediate EFL learners’ knowledge of L2 adjectives. The question of this study lied in the fact that whether contrastive analysis has any effects on intermediate EFL learners’ knowledge of L2 adjectives, In order to find the answer of this question, this article investigated some issues about contrastive analysis between two languages and their effect on L2 adjective knowledge. For this reason 60 intermediate EFL learners were selected by OPT test and were divided in two groups, one of them was control group and the other was the experimental group. After that the pretest of L2 adjectives knowledge was administered in both groups in order to understand about L2 adjectives knowledge. Then treatments were administered in both groups. Treatment in control group was the traditional way of teaching adjectives and in experimental group was teaching adjectives by using contrastive analysis between two languages. These treatments were administered for two weeks. After that administering posttest in both groups and at the end the data was analyzed by two way independent sample t-test and one-way ANCOVA. And the result of study showed that the null hypothesis of the study was rejected so the contrastive analysis had positive effect on L2 adjective knowledge. Manuscript profile

        The present study aimed to investigate of reaction time in terms of phoneme recognition: A comparative study among Iranian Upper-Intermediate vs. Advanced EFL Learners at Institute level. The main question this study tried to answer was whether there is no difference in reaction time in terms of phoneme recognition in Iranian learners at Institute level. To answer the question, 5Upper-Intermediate EFL learners vs. 5 Advanced EFL learners participated in the experiment of the study. They were randomly selected from among a population of 50, both female and male, aged ranged 18-35 via an OPT test scores. They were then divided into groups of 5 and assigned to Upper-Intermediate group vs. Advanced group. A phoneme recognition test was administrated to both groups, then, they choose the correct pronunciation of each word at a definite time. The researcher preferred to use Independent-Samples T-test between the posttest of scores of the study. The researcher applied descriptive statistic to analyze data.
