Abstract :
The Internet and social networks, like many other phenomena, have positive and negative consequences, which can be benefited from its positive effects and achievements by planning and raising the level of public awareness. The present article deals with the question of how much and at what level is the amount of social and cultural damage in the city of Mashhad among the young people between 18 and 39 years of age with a quantitative survey method? What is the type and status of social and cultural injuries of young people and users of virtual space? What factors cause damage in cyberspace among users? And finally, what solutions can be offered to reduce these social and cultural harms of users in the virtual space? The findings showed that the amount and level of social and cultural damage in the way of communication of cyberspace users is high. Also, there is a relationship between factors related to virtual space, factors related to the conditions of social environment and real life, characteristics of virtual space, and individual factors with social and cultural harms in the way users communicate in virtual space. The regression results state that 42% of social and cultural harms are explained by the way users communicate in virtual space by these variables, and the role of factors related to the conditions of the social environment and real life is more than other factors.
